FAQ

Who makes Hendricks Knives?

All Hendricks Knives are personally made by Matt Hendricks.

How do I sharpen my knife?

You can easily sharpen your Hendricks knife yourself by following Matt’s free instructional video on sharpening that is on the Learn page.  If you don’t want to sharpen the knife yourself, you are welcome to send it back to Matt to have him sharpen it through The Sharpening Guy LLC.

Will my knife arrive sharp?

Yes!  Matt personally hand sharpens each knife with Japanese waterstones after you buy it and right before it is mailed out.

What kind of sheath or blade cover does my knife come with?

All Hendricks Knives come with a kydex sheath or blade cover unless otherwise noted so you can store your knives safely.  For outdoor knives, a wet formed leather sheath may be available for an additional cost.

Matt can also usually make a sheath or blade cover for knives from other makers upon request.

Contact Matt directly if you have any questions.

What steels do you use?

Matt currently makes all of the knives out of either 52100 or D2.

Do you take custom knife orders?

Sometimes.  That depends on what you want made.  Contact Matt to learn more.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping in the United States is free!
